Irina Chun is working on a project for South Korea,
and as part of the delegation,
Irina was invited to the United Nations in March 2025.
The UN headquarters in New York was designed
by Le Corbusier and Oscar Niemeyer.
The interior reflects modernism with minimalist elements,
yet it feels ceremonial — marble, wood, glass, and calm tones.
Some spaces were designed by architects from
different countries.
The General Assembly Hall is the heart of diplomacy,
holding nearly 2,000 delegates.
What inspired me most was the Japanese courtyard —
an oasis of peace
and balance amidst intense global discussions.
And the energy in the General Assembly Hall is so alive.
The world is changing rapidly, it’s essential
to contribute through creativity and meaningful design.🌏
In Italy, the exhibition "Metamorphosis: Transforming Italian Architecture" opened on April 4 in Bari
Next stops: Milan (Design Week, April 8–13), New York (May 15–21), Verona (Marmomac 2025, September 23–26).
The central installation — a work by Professor Giuseppe Fallacara and PhD candidate Maria Giovanna Pansini — represents the three stages of a tree's development: from seed to a fully branched organism. The structure, made of stainless steel and dolomitic marble, can be mechanically reconfigured.
Among the exhibits is my piece, produced specifically for the Marmomac exhibition by the company Stilmarmo.
The conference brought together Italian and international architectural studios and researchers exploring stone architecture and sustainable construction. Participants included Studiolada (Nancy), architect Amin Taha (London), senior designer Vishu Bhooshan from Zaha Hadid Code (London), and Professor Chiara Rizzi from the University of Basilicata, who presented the book Lina Ghotmeh: The Archaeologist of the Future.
The overarching theme of Metamorphosis invites reflection on the reinterpretation of stone construction as a timely response to the challenges of sustainability, innovation, and local identity.
The project is supported by Festival Architettura – 3rd Edition, promoted by @creativita_contemporanea of the Italian Ministry of Culture.

The iF DESIGN AWARD, established in 1954, honors excellence in design and is awarded annually by the world’s oldest independent design institution — iF International Forum Design GmbH in Hanover, Germany.
On April 23, 2020, the companies @escoluce and @garda_decor_ru
invited leading designers from Russia and Italy
to speak at an anti-crisis online conference.

The installation "SPACE BEACH 3019" received high praise from the jury,
chaired by James Alexander-Sinclair, judge of the Royal Horticultural Society (UK),
and was awarded a Gold Medal in the "Art Object" category.
Interior designers Irina Chun and Anna Erman, in collaboration with landscape designer Milena Borisova, presented the installation "SPACE BEACH 3019" at Muzeon Park.
The roots of the Moscow Flower Show trace back to the Chelsea Flower Show in London — considered the “Oscars” of landscape design, and traditionally visited by the Queen of England. The Chairman of the Jury at the Moscow Flower Show is Sir James Alexander-Sinclair, judge of the Royal Horticultural Society UK and a BBC television host.
This year, the festival invited designers from various creative fields, including Vyacheslav Zaitsev, Valentin Yudashkin, Alena Akhmadullina, and others — along with us, as interior designers. The event featured live shows and fashion presentations.
Our installation showcased futuristic art objects, exclusive outdoor furniture, and designer lighting, all created especially for this exhibition.
The concept of SPACE BEACH 3019 represents a fusion of cutting-edge furniture technology and expert landscape design.
